  • It is not recommended to use smoke to test smoke alarms. Follow the manufacturer’s testing guidelines, which often call for the use of simulated smoke. We sell pressurized cans of simulated smoke for this purpose. When using this product, follow the operating instructions and do not get the can too close to the alarm. If held too close or too much is applied, the simulated smoke may coat the alarm’s sensing chamber or affect the operation, which cam make the alarm malfunction or inoperable. (1/27/12)
