Commercial Access Control System Solutions

Hands-Free Interfaces

These systems utilize motion-sensing technology to allow entry without physical contact, promoting hygiene and ease of access. Ideal for high-traffic facilities where touchless operation is a priority.

Vandal-Resistant Keypads

Built with heavy-duty materials and tamper-proof electronics, these keypads are designed to withstand lots of daily use and extreme weather. Reliable access point for when durability is just as important as security.

Camera CCTV Integration

This integration ensures that every entry event is recorded and timestamped for visual verification, allowing your security team to cross-reference digital access logs with real-time footage to maintain a complete audit trail.

Proximity Card Readers

These readers use RFID technology to grant access when a programmed credential is held within a few inches of the device. They offer a fast, reliable, and "no-swipe" solution that reduces wear and tear on both the hardware and the user's credentials.

Proximity Cards & Key Fobs

Compact and easy to carry, these encrypted credentials act as digital keys for your authorized personnel. They can be easily deactivated if lost or stolen, providing a much higher level of security and cost-efficiency than traditional physical keys.

Keypad/Proximity Combo Readers

These units offer "dual-factor authentication" by requiring both a physical credential and a unique PIN for entry. This added security ensures that even if a card or fob is misplaced, your facility remains protected against unauthorized use.

Access Control System FAQs

Here are some of the most frequent questions we get about our access control system installations. If you have further questions, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.

Can I instantly revoke access if an employee leaves the company?

Yes. With our cloud-based Paxton and Avigilon systems, you can deactivate a user’s credentials (mobile, card, or fob) in seconds from your phone or computer. There’s no need to collect physical keys or re-key locks.

Can I manage multiple business locations from one account?

Absolutely. Cloud-based systems allow you to oversee multiple buildings—whether they are across Appleton or in different cities like Green Bay and Oshkosh—all from a single centralized dashboard.

Is my data secure in the cloud?

We use industry-leading encryption (similar to online banking) to ensure your data and access logs are protected. Since we partner with top-tier providers like Avigilon and Paxton, your system receives automatic security updates to stay ahead of modern threats.

What happens to the door locks if the internet goes out?

Your system will continue to function. Most modern controllers store access permissions locally on the hardware. While you might temporarily lose the ability to make changes remotely, your employees can still enter and exit as usual. Once the connection is restored, the system syncs all data and logs.

Can I use my smartphone as a key, or do I need physical cards?

You have the choice. We offer "Mobile Entry" solutions that allow employees to unlock doors with a wave of their phone, but we can also provide traditional key fobs or cards for those who prefer them. Both can coexist on the same system.

How long does a typical installation take?

Every project is unique, but a standard 2–4 door system usually takes 1–2 business days. We work closely with your team to minimize any disruption to your daily operations.

Can my access control system talk to my security cameras?

Yes, and we highly recommend it. By integrating the two, your system can automatically "tag" video footage whenever a specific door is opened or if an unauthorized entry attempt is detected, giving you a complete visual audit trail.

Success Stories

Case Studies

Bellevue Parks

At all four of the parks, outdoor, vandal-resistant cameras were placed in strategic positions to give parks director Joel Gregozeski the ability to see who has been using their pavilions and playgrounds at any time, day or night, and keep recordings on their digital video recorders for weeks after.

Access Control was also deployed on each restroom door to allow the village to lock down and open each restroom at specific times, assuring that when the parks are closed, the restrooms are locked without having to send an employee out to each site to manually lock them down.

Valley VNA

Based on meetings with various staff members, Lappen discovered that distribution and replacement of keys was a growing problem. To remedy this, and many other concerns in keeping Valley VNA’s 100-plus residents safe, Lappen installed the Paxton Access Net2 system.

With so many people coming and going on a daily basis, Valley VNA can better manage access control for up to 500 users by assigning privileges on 15 doors in a matter of seconds and easily track building entrance.

Little Chute Schools

After carefully researching the options, Scott Wildenberg and team recommended the Paxton Access Net2 — featuring an easy-to-use interface and simple installation — and provided a demo.

Understanding the client’s goals, our recommendation addressed the need for easy management of all building access. We also saw the value of the interface’s convenient click-and-drag graphic time zones for setup and the software’s free upgrades.
