Accurate Clock Settings Key to Security
October 9, 2012
Inaccurate computer clock settings can explain Access Control timing errors.
If you have a Paxton Access Control system and your doors are not opening at the correct time, one thing to check is the time on the computer that is running the Paxton software. The Paxton door control boards get time of day from that host computer, and an inaccurate computer clock setting is often the culprit. Once that clock is corrected, everything should run right on schedule. Most computers will auto-correct time for daylight savings, but be sure to check that it has updated to ensure your access is not an hour off.
Backing up the data for your access control system can save you hours of work and reduce system downtime.
