  • The siren on an intrusion alarm system sounds at between 105 and 110 dB (decibels), which is equivalent to a car or home stereo at maximum volume – and can usually be heard as far as a block away. (10/25/13)
  • While for many years we did, Lappen Security no longer sells or services safes. (10/18/13)
  • A Grade 3 deadbolt – the kind you usually find at any hardware store – can be crushed and twisted off the door with only a pipe wrench and average strength. To increase your security, Grade 2 deadbolts are recommended. (10/11/13)
  • For your convenience, all Lappen Security vans are equipped with a mobile payment device, allowing you to pay by credit card after our work has been completed. (10/4/13)

Backing up the data for your access control system can save you hours of work and reduce system downtime.
